Job Description
You will collaborate with cross-functional teams engaging in the design and implementation of cloud-based applications in agile work environment. You will be a primary contributor to the development, testing, and deployment of cloud-based IoT applications ensuring quality, reliability, usability, and performance of deliverables. You will also be expected to advocate best practices to the distributed development team throughout the software development lifecycle to ensure high quality, automation, scalability and delivery excellence.
We are looking for an eager candidate interested in being a key engineering hire for the growing IoT engineering group at HC. Working closely with the IoT group leadership, you will play a major role in shaping the cloud and mobile application development for Bosch Home Comfort’s products.
Specific Responsibilities:
Collaborate with cloud engineering teams to architect and build cloud-native systems.
Enhance and expand Cloud infrastructure by utilizing RESTful APIs, AWS serverless functions, and AWS event-driven architecture.
Create infrastructure as code templates and orchestration to deliver consistent, secure environments.
Ensure cloud solutions follow governance, security, and compliance controls, as well as best practices.
Develop scalable AWS cloud architectures that can handle millions of requests from hundreds of thousands of customers.
Identify improvement opportunities (proactive and reactive) from AWS X-Ray logs, user stories, ticket backlogs, requirements documents, etc.
Research, recommend and implement optimizations of existing code repos.
Lead automation strategies in Unit Testing, Quality buildng CICD pipelnes
Participate in sprint planning sessions, daily standups, demo days and sprint reviews.
Continue to learn and grow professionally as a cloud native engineer as new cloud services and solutions come to market.
Qualifications
Basic Qualifications:
- 5+ years of experience working as a Cloud Engineer, prefer on AWS.
- 3+ In-depth knowledge of cloud computing principles and architectures, including IaaS, PaaS, and SaaS.
- 2+ Proficiency in infrastructure as code tools such as Terraform or CloudFormation.
- 5+ Experience with AWS services like Lambda, SQS, S3, DynamoDB, S3, and API Gateway.
- 3+ years of experience developing applications and APIs in object-oriented programming language such as Node.js or Java
- 3+ years of experience with cloud native language experience Node.js or Python
- 3+ years of experience with AWS Experience working with enterprise-scale cloud, DevOps automation frameworks, and CI/CD pipelines.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Ability to contribute effectively as a member of a team and work cohesively as a part of a team.
- Possess a strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Ability to effectively prioritize duties and efficiently complete responsibilities.
- Demonstrated time-management skills to complete assignments while meeting critical deadlines.
- Atlassian’s tools for work management and adept writing skills
- AWS certifications are a plus.
